The Showman’s Show will be celebrating its 40th year when it returns to Newbury Showground on 23rd – 24th October and there’s plenty for visitors to look forward to! Since its inception in 1984 it has been the UK’s most comprehensive exhibition of products, services and entertainment for the outdoor and special event world. This year’s show is set to attract hundreds of exhibitors from around the world. Event professionals can expect to find a raft of brand-new exhibitors, innovative products and services, along with industry staples and sustainable solutions.
In recent years there’s been a trend for organisations from across the outdoor event market to utilise The Showman’s Show as a platform to meet, collaborate and exchange ideas. Johnny Lance, event director comments: “We’re thrilled to welcome back Vision:2025’s Sustainable Event Summit on Wednesday 23rd October. It’s integral to defining future strategies and actions to shape the industry’s response to the climate emergency for UK events. We’re long-standing supporters of the organisation and proud to play host to it.”

To commemorate the 40th anniversary, show organisers are collaborating with Qdos Event Hire and the National Outdoor Event Association (NOEA) to launch the Event 100 Club. Event director Jeremy Lance explains: “We’re partnering with NOEA and Qdos Event Hire to deliver an experiential events exhibition that celebrates the industry. As we commemorate our 40th, 45th, and 15th, anniversaries respectively, we want to bring our collective experiences together, in a physical form, where the industry can meet, network and use as an influencer space.
“Reaching our 40th year is an incredible achievement and a milestone that we are keen to mark. The success of the show has been built on showcasing the excellent suppliers who deliver outdoor events. Highlighting their achievements, along with those of our visitors, from the last five decades is the perfect way to celebrate. In addition, it will create an archive of events for future generations to look back on.”
