On Saturday 7th May, the Hire Awards of Excellence were back to celebrate the achievements of the hire and supply industry after a two-year break due to the covid pandemic.

Steven Jones, who is employed by the MHM Group, was awarded the Workshop Manager of the Year title for his extensive customer support and leadership skills.

The MHM Group is a specialist in power generation, fluid storage, site lighting, and solar and hybrid technology, that provides equipment rental services to the construction and plant hire sectors.

When joining the business in 2017, Steven was tasked with recruiting versatile on-site service engineers and internal workshop-based fitters. Now the MHM Group have a team of engineers that are only a telephone call away when they are needed.

In addition to winning the Workshop Manager of the Year Award, Steven was also bestowed the judge’s choice for Hire Achiever of the Year for his dedication to the role and his efforts in revamping and upgrading MHM’s new workshop and field service divisions.

Upon receiving his awards, Steven said: “I’m in shock! I’m truly thankful to MHM for all their support over the years. The company has grown from strength to strength, and I am so pleased to be a part of the journey and to be able to mentor new talent in this industry.”

Steven was awarded Workshop Manager of the Year and Hire Achiever of the Year at the ceremony at Grosvenor House, London.

The MHM Group also received recognition and was Highly Commended in the SafeHire Plant, Tool & Equipment Hire Company of the Year Turnover under £10 million category.
